"Italy is a dream that keeps returning for the rest of your life." --Anna Akhmatova

Welcome to the Amalfi Coast Part II. I took to many pictures for just one post. In Sorrento Matt and I saw a demonstration of Italian inlaid wood. Not only was is GORGEOUS.. but extremely EXPENSIVE! It takes hours to get the details correct and so many woods are used, dyed colors, then put onto Mahogany. I would have loved a lazy susan for our table.. but at 500 euro ( About $600 dollars) and up.. we passed. The tables, while stunning, started at 8,000 euro! After our delightful lunch and time in Sorrento we were off to Salerno to catch our boat to tour the Amalfi Coast by sea.. apparently the locals say this is the BEST way. I was able to get pictures during the drive there and then on the boat as well. Our tour took us past the towns of Salerno, Maiori, Minori,Ravello, and then finally on to Amalfi with many smaller towns in between. Had we kept going we would have hit Positano and then finally the Isle of Capri (which we saw from the bus on the way there)
