Our first day of our Bavarian vacation started with a day trip to Vipiteno and Bolzano Italy! They are right over the German border in the Italian Dolomite mountains. We had a beautiful day to enjoy Italian food, gelato, and shop for italian specialties (leather and wine!!) The first set of pictures are of Vipiteno.

| The building behind the fountain that has "crosses" on the front and has a yellowish tint is called the Yellow Cross. A lot of Nazi higher ups stayed here when they were fleeing the Allies in Germany, on their way to South America. |

After Vipiteno we went to the larger city of Bolzano to visit "Utzi" aka The Frozen Man, and enjoy the city and all it had to offer!

Our next adventure was to Berchtesgaden Germany and to Austria to see Hitler's Eagles Nest!
