Take take me to.. The North Sea & Keukenhof!

After a cold and overcast day at Zaanes Schans, Matt and I went back to the hotel to enjoy the indoor pool and sauna! We got up bright and early next day ready to see the North Sea and the Keukenhof Tulip Festival!!

Matt had noticed the day before that there was a McDonalds near our hotel, yes we know that is very cliche American, but we didn't really feel like paying $25 a person for breakfast at the hotel! So off to McDonalds it was!!
Matt is excited to get on the road..can you tell??

I am ready to put my tootsies in the North Sea..flip flops and all!!

First McDonalds we have seen in Europe that has Quarter Pounders!

Interesting milkshake combo...apple pear???

We got a Stroopwaffle Mcflurry to share! Stroopwaffles are these waffers filled with a cinnamon and carmel mixture..delicious!

Bfast of champions..Quarter Pounder w/ cheese and fries! MMMMM!
After breakfast it was off to the North Sea!

Loved this area!

The North Sea!

Really nice beaches!!

We are here!

Matt was there too!

Ok so my feet haven't touched the water yet!

Notice my face..HOLY FLIPPING COLD!!

Regained my composure enough for a pic!

So pretty

There were dogs everywhere running on the beach

Matt and I think this used to be a light house

Housing around the beach

Next up.. Keukenhof Tulip Festival!
Tulip fields on the way to the Keukenhof!

In Lisse!

We're heeerrreeeee!

Stunning!

They had so many varieties of tulips and flowers!

This is my new favorite kind of tulip...called a lily flowering tulip!

The Keukenhof is amazing!

Amazing!
There was cool art too!

More tulip fields!

Matt risked his life for these pictures!! He almost fell in the canal!

This pig looks like a little Penny!! When I made kissey noises she came right over to me!

She says " Hi!! Love me!" Then she rolled over on her back and wanted a belly rub!!

Headed home!!

This is back home in Germany! This is some sort of weeds that the German farmers are using on their fallow fields that are resting..but they are still pretty!!
