The beauty that surrounds us

We have been having some AMAZING weather the last couple of weeks. Since it has been unseasonably sunny and warm, Matt and I decided to take a volksmarch. This is basically a long walk/hike. We ventured into the farmers fields near our house to be in the sunshine and so I could play with my new camera (that Matt got me for my birthday!!) and to see what all of the settings do. Hope you enjoy the beautiful countryside around our home!!

Memorial Day break

Happy Memorial Day! Let me start by saying we want to thank all of those who have fought for our country and have paid the ultimate sacrifice. It is because of those who came, fought, died, served, or were wounded defending our freedoms that we are able to live the life we do!

Matt and I had a fun filled Memorial Day long weekend. We were able to spend almost the whole weekend outside and with friends. It was nice to be in the sun, grill, and relax. Monday we decided to stay close to home and go to the Reichsburg Castle in Cochem since we hadn't been. Of course we picked the only day so far in Germany in the 80s to go to the castle! It was beautiful nonetheless! If you want more history on the castle you can do so by viewing..
