Well, we are now officially jelly doughnuts :) Meaning, we have been to berlin. The famous quote by JFK, which revolved around pronunciation, was a cute reminder on our trip. Berlin is actually pronounced BEAR-lin by locals... hence the painted bear statues all over the city. So if you want to say you are from berlin.. make sure you say it right ;) Ich Bin ein BEAR-liner :) Fun fact.. Berlin actually translates into Swamp City! We had a nice, albeit rainy, trip to Berlin, but it did not take away the historical aspect of such a famous city that has been through so much. It has actually risen from the rubble to be a beautiful city visited by thousands everyday, of which we were 3!
