Last night Matt and I attended the 702 MUNSS Christmas party! It was really fun! The decorations were beautiful and the food was amazing! It was nice to unwind with friends after a stressful couple of months. Now, let me preface these pictures with some explanations. In an effort to raise money for next years Christmas party there is a game on who will dress up as Santa, an Elf, Rudolph, and a Sugar Plum Fairy. The rules are- 2 votes for $1. The person with the LEAST amount of votes will be Rudolph...the person with the SECOND least amount of votes will be an Elf..the person with the THIRD least amount of votes will be Santa..and the person with the MOST votes out of ANYONE will be the Sugar Plum Fairy. Can you guess which one Matt was voted?? If you said the Sugar Plum Fairy you are RIGHT! Matt donned white tightes, a white leotard, a pink ballet skirt, a tiara, and carried his fancy sugar plum fairy wand (sound effects and all!). What ends up happening is when someone is close to be the sugar plum fairy they throw a lot of money down on someone else to save themselves. The result was over $200 last night ALONE for my hubby to be the sugar plum fairy (with a $20 contribution from myself of course!) That money will go to a great party next year! Why don't you have a gander at THE PRETTIEST Sugar Plum Fairy IN ALL THE LAND!
For Matts efforts he was awarded a prize of $40! What a good sport! hehe. Enjoy the rest of the pictures from the party :)
Spouses were asked to bring desserts to the Christmas party. I made a berry Trifle and devils food snowflake cupcakes ( a recipe from pinterest!) They came out great so I thought I would document the process in pictures!
Overnight it snowed! It was a nice fluffy snow. As Matt was outside shoveling our neighbors across the street came by with some holiday goodies! Last week I went over with some american style christmas cookies and chocolates! They gave us wine, homemade german cookies, and homemade jams and jellies! They are elderly and don't speak any English so they waited for their daughter to come and bring it to us! We will certainly enjoy these treats!
